Trunk or Treat

Neighbors--Nickie (who is also my saving grace), me and Kristy

Tay got great use of her costume. She had a Halloween party at dance, trunk-or-treating at the church, the costume parade at school and finally Halloween night fun. Whew, we have definately gotten our fill of Halloween this year! Tay had dance, so we ended up going late to the ward party, but we were there in plenty of time for Tay to trunk-or-treat. Her reward, a huge pile of candy--as if there weren't enough to get on Halloween night. She, of course, was thrilled!
Being the great mom that I am, I did not even take my camera. But Emily did, so at least there is one photo to prove that we actually attended a ward party (that we weren't in charge of helping with).
Oh, and did I mention that this was in the middle of my bout with MRSA? Yes, I had a lovely staff infection on my face of all places. Thank goodness for make-up. And the fact that when people stared I could say that I was wearing my Halloween costume a little early.

The Great White Hunter

As many of you know, Corb loves to hunt--just about anything. This fall has been one hunting trip after another. The Wyoming deer hunt was successful and that is always good news for my dear husband. He had a good time with his dad, his nephew Travis, and his brother-from-another-mother Mike.

Mark & Teresa's Halloween Bash

Corb was out of town, hunting again. However, I was not about to let that stop me from joining in the festivities at Mark and Teresa's house. They had a fun Halloween party that proved to be worth the effort of dressing up. I actually didn't go to too much effort to dress up, I wore my brother's desert fatigues. JayCee had borrowed them a few years ago for Halloween and they worked great.
It was a fun night. Teresa did a great job of making sure everyone had plenty to eat and a lot of fun. We were up until 2am playing murder--again. We are so lucky to have such a great family that lives nearby.

High School Musical 3

Tay has been a fan since the first one came out. I mean a BIG fan, it was all we watched for a very long time. Then the 2nd one came out. We had a premier party with some of her friends in Grandma H.'s basement on the big screen TV. And, we have been counting down to the HSM3 movie for months! I took Tay, Emily, Cecilee, Erickell and Neicell on opening night. They loved the movie but were completely annoyed with the obnoxious girls who screamed everytime Zac Efron took his shirt off or did something they thought was worthy of excitement. The girls were so well behaved, it was a fun night.

Partying with the Divas

Tay's party wrapped up the week of celebration. She and 9 of her friends went to Dear Lizzie to party in a most glamorous fashion. Everyone dressed up for the occasion and the girls had a great time. Tay is very blessed to have such good friends.

Taylor and the girls opening their party favors. They colored a Littlest Pet Shop page, did a wordsearch about Tay and had a guessing game about her favorite things.

Present time!

Spoiled again! Tay is lucky to have such sweet friends who gave her so many nice things.

The glamorous girls had a fantabulous time!

The best day ever, according to my dear little girl. She says that often, but she always sincerely means it. It makes all of the effort worthwhile. I love you Tay!

Tay Turns Eight!

Our baby turned 8, it is hard to believe. I wish she would stay little forever, but she doesn't like that idea too much. To continue the weeklong celebration that began in Idaho, we had pizza with Grandma and Grandpa H. and Aunt Tiff. Then Creed & Emily, Mark & Teresa and their boys came up for cake and ice cream. Nickie and the girls came by later. Tay got completely spoiled and had lots of fun with her cousins.

Idaho Adventures

For Fall Break '08 we loaded 3 kids, 4 adults and 1 chihuahua into our 4-runner and drove the 6.5 long hours to Idaho. Did I forget to mention that we had a large grey burrito attached to the back? That was the luggage rack that was so nicely covered in a tarp. We only travel in style! :)

How we talked the Hydes into this little adventure I am still not sure of. But, we are so glad they went! The boys spent three entire days steelhead fishing without any result. The girls rarely were out of their pjs before 2pm (not just the little girls either). Oh, and there were several trips to the grocery store to get more ingredients for the plethora of food that we made. I learned how to play Speed, caught up with my friend Lori, stayed up 'til the wee hours talking to Mom and Nickie and got to spend time with the people I love. It was a lovely adventure in Idaho!

We LOVE When Our Family Visits

My sister Shelley lives in Seattle. We don't see her as much as we would like to, so we were especially glad to see her when she flew in. Tay and I took half a day off from school and drove to Layton to pick Shelley and my neice Sophia up at my brother's house. Tay and Sophie love to spend time together and it is always fun for Shelley to be with her two neices. She spoils them rotten. We went to lunch at Rooster's in Layton and then came back to my house to hang out for a few hours. It was a great day and so nice to spend time with Shelley and Soph!
